Cyber Academy of SC
Cyber Academy of SC balances flexibility with accountability to support academic excellence, college and career readiness, and meaningful student engagement.
For over a decade, Cyber Academy of South Carolina (CASC) has delivered high-quality K–12 virtual education rooted in the local community. With an experienced team and leadership from day one, CASC offers South Carolina students consistent support through a structured, locally run program—unlike national online schools. Success Centers across the state provide in-person academic help, social interaction, and group activities.
CASC follows a live, interactive bell schedule to keep students engaged and accountable. Students can access Gifted & Talented and Honors programs, CTE pathways, and dual enrollment with 17+ South Carolina colleges. NCAA-approved courses support student-athletes, while the AVID program builds college readiness skills. CASC also offers flexibility for students to join zoned school extracurriculars, plus strong onboarding and ongoing support for families new to online learning.
Heron Virtual Academy of SC
Cyber Academy of SC balances flexibility with accountability to support academic excellence, college and career readiness, and meaningful student engagement.
Heron Virtual Academy of South Carolina (HVASC) offers a flexible, supportive path to graduation for students who need an alternative to traditional school. As the state’s only alternative virtual school, HVASC serves students facing challenges like poverty, expulsion, or homelessness. Its asynchronous model allows coursework to be completed at each student’s own pace, accommodating work, family, or personal needs.
Students are supported by a Certified Trauma-Skilled teaching staff and wrap-around services tailored to individual goals. Whether recovering credits or graduating early, HVASC helps students stay on track. An award-winning Special Education program ensures students with 504 Plans or IEPs receive the support they need. Social-emotional learning is central, building resilience, life skills, and confidence. For students who feel off track or out of options, HVASC provides a second chance—a fresh start with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
